The underripe green peppers have a mild slightly bitter taste with a mild spicy kick, while the red have a rich sweet flavor with a higher spice. Best if grown in full sun and rich, moist, acidic well drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water Regularly with 1-2 inches of water per week. Do not transplant deeper than previously grown. Blight, mildew, leaf spot, and mosaic virus can be issues, especially if soil is too moist or there's not good air circulation. Aphids, borers, beetles, and cutworms can be occasional issues.
