Liberty Hyde Bailey (March 15, 1858 Ð December 25, 1954) was an American horticulturist, botanist and cofounder of the American Society for Horticultural Science. :10Ð15Born in South Haven, Michigan, as the third son of farmers Liberty Hyde Bailey Sr. and Sarah Harrison Bailey, Bailey entered the Michigan Agricultural College (MAC, now Michigan State University) in 1878 and graduated in 1882. The next year, he became assistant to the renowned botanist Asa Gray, of Harvard University. This was arranged by a professor at MAC, William James Beal. Bailey spent two years with Gray as his herbarium assistant. The same year, he married Annette Smith, the daughter of a Michigan cattle breeder, whom he met at the Michigan Agricultural College.

I downloaded and installed Visual Studio Code, Ubuntu, and Docker Desktop. On page 22, it says to use the docker build command. I did, and I got a file or folder not found error. I've spent 4 hours searching the internet for an answer to this. I cant find it. This book is supposed to be written for absolute beginners. Apparently, it is not, as I, a beginner, am stuck 22 pages into it...

Haven't gotten that far into the book yet, but so far the material is good. IMO, the book would be far better if it had a spiral binding like the Python Quick Start books I bought. Programming type books are much easier and better to use when they lay flat. This would probably make the book more expensive to purchase, but would be well worth it. The contents of the book are well laid out starting with simple basic topics and progressing through the more advanced ones. The chapters on Asynchronous JavaScript and JQuery were, IMHO, light in the amount of information provided. The book is designed/written to provide a "quick start" on JS, but I think that there could have been more details provided for these two topics. All in all this book provides an adequate introduction to doing JS coding. Any plans on doing an advanced Javascript book to cover topics like map and other advanced programming constructs?
