Home to a fine collection of architecture, Washington hosts a wide variety of period buildings in both its business district as well as its residential neighborhoods.
The images in this book are an eclectic collection of postcards and vintage photographs that have been saved and passed down from generation to generation, allowing others to enjoy the uniqueness of a era that is long gone. Some of the buildings on the following pages you may recognize, having changed little over the years and some buildings are just memories to us. From the disastrous downtown fire of 1962 to the razing of the train station, the face of Washington has changed which is evident throughout the pages of this book.
