ACT's 6-pad, spring-centered race disc features a spring-center to properly damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and increase strength and reliability. Not as tough as the salmon.
We have the salmon from the same manufacturer and it has endured as few other dog toys have. Unfortunately, the squirrel lasted only two days before developing a ripped seam and began loosing stuffing. Maybe a defective toy based on other reviews.

Pretty durable, ears not so much

Another one bites the dust!!
Another one bites the dust. It looked like it was gonna be strong enough for our new puppy. We adopted a border collie who is about six months old. This was supposed to be durable. Lasted about a week. Might be good for older dogs. I wouldn’t recommend.
