Title: What Maisie Knew (Wordsworth Classics)
Publisher: Wordsworth Editions 05/10/2000
Publication Date: 2000
Binding: Soft cover
Details:
With an Introduction by Pat Righelato, University of Reading.
The child of parents who divorce, remarry and then embark on adulterous affairs, Maisie Farange survives by her intelligence and spirit. For all its sombre theme of childhood innocence exposed to a corrupted adult world, this novel is one of James's comic masterpieces. The outrageous behaviour of the characters on the seedy fringes of the English upper class is conveyed with wit and relish. The dual perspective of a sophisticated narrator richly appreciative of the absurdities of the adult sexual merry-go-round and the candid vision of Maisie, 'rebounding' from one parent to another like a 'shuttlecock', together create an 'associational magic'.

Noticeably whiter teeth and great everyday toothpaste
Size: 3.8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This toothpaste has been excellent. After just a few days of use, my teeth already looked brighter and cleaner, and after a couple of weeks there was a noticeable whitening difference. It does a great job removing surface stains from coffee and food without feeling harsh.
The texture is smooth, the taste is clean and not overpowering, and it leaves my mouth feeling fresh for a long time. I also like that it’s anticavity with fluoride, so it feels like a solid everyday toothpaste — not just a cosmetic product.
Overall, this is one of the best whitening toothpastes I’ve tried. It actually works, feels high quality, and is now part of my daily routine. Highly recommend.

I Tried

Definitely cleans teeth...I can hear the squeakiness...It doesn't whiten, though.

A Treasure of French Cinema at it's finest.
Long awaited and long to be treasured. What a fantastic idea to put these Truffault classics and unique packaging. I've waited decades for something like this and can't wait to start watching and loving all of them.

Better transfer, less content.
Transfer of this BluRay edition of Doinel's box is of course better (however, the difference is not dramatic) than in previous DVD box of the same cycle by Criterion. However, the book included has not even half of the texts from DVD edition. There is also less extra materials at discs. Thus, at some points this BluRay edition is worse than DVD's. I don't understand why Criterion made this box poorer in content than the box in poorer quality of the picture.
