The Input control (pig) sets the gain at the front end, ranging from mild grit to saturated transistor overload. Voltage (pineapple) manipulates the pedal’s internal power, allowing for full-headroom clarity at maximum or compressed, gated textures at lower settings—ideal for octave-rich fuzz and glitchy artifacts. Finally, the Output (pizza) sets the overall signal level and compensates for gain staging across the other two controls.

Internally, a slide switch enables a guitar pickup simulation circuit. Keep it engaged when the pedal follows active pickups, wireless units, or buffered pedals.
