When the children guess the flags of the nation, this could be a great geography and history lesson! Each stained glass figure is hand cut, wrapped in metal, and soldered. Arms, legs, and wire work for detail are added before soldering the row of figures together to fit on the glass base. The nine candle holder bar is added last. The eight candle holders represent the eight nights of Hanukkah and the ninth candle holder is used for the shammos, the candle that lights the other candles each night. The candles are in a straight line and the shammos is slightly higher. This positioning is the definition of a kosher menorah. Size - 11 1/2 x 6 x 3"
