The Microtubes X900 is a 900 watt bass amplifier head that packs enormous power with unprecedented precision. An evolution on the first Darkglass bass amplifier and belonging to the popular Microtubes series, the X900 was designed after the company's revered X series of pedals. This bass amplifier is packed with features for accuracy, versatility and control.
Supercharged with a Class D 900 watt amplifier and accompanied by an ultra-quiet 6-band graphic EQ, the X900 spans the range of dirty and overdriven, to crystal clear. This bass amplifier head also offers precise, studio-like tonal control.
The X distortion circuit allows you to select exactly what frequencies you want to compress and saturate, giving you a wide range of sound-shaping possibilities. The X circuit works in sequence by applying the high pass filter and distortion to the higher range of tones before compressing the lower register for a smooth low end and a saturated top.
This bass amplifier head features cabinet simulation with three selectable presets. The X900 also has an AUX input for rehearsing tracks and a headphone output that can load any of the cabinet simulations, perfect for practice. With MIDI integration for channel switching, forced-air fan cooling, and two Neutrik speakOn combo jacks for connecting speakers, the X900 is a beast for touring or long show runs.
