This Beris loose ring snaffle is made from a soft flexible material, which is pleasant in the horse's mouth yet has a steel core for safety. It is particularly suitable for young horses.

Beris bits are available with a soft or a hard mouthpiece in 13cm or 14cm, it has 75mm rings.

Ported Mouthpiece

This snaffle bit fits the horse's mouth anatomically so it sits in the perfect position. The flattened area on the port allows plenty of space for the horse's tongue. As a result, many horses respond with increased relaxation and chewing.

This bit is often suitable for horses that won't tolerate tongue pressure and react by headshaking.

This bit is also a good choice for those that tend to put their tongue over the bit. The port helps to prevent this be removing the central tongue pressure.

Please note that the 30mm high port is not dressage legal.

Loose Ring Snaffle

Loose ring bits are more mobile than eggbutt or fixed cheek bits, and therefore encourage the horse to keep a relaxed jaw and mouth the bit. Because the mouthpiece is mobile, it is difficult for the horse to take hold of the bit, making it useful for horses that lean.

This bit is also useful for promoting a soft and consistent contact because the movable mouthpiece enables the bit to contour to the tongue's natural position and sit comfortably in the horse's mouth.

The rings move through copper sleeves, which increases the bit's durability. Bit rings help to prevent pinching.

Soft or Hard?

The soft mouthpiece is flexible and pleasant in the horse's mouth, and is ideal for young or sensitive horses.

The hard mouthpiece is comparable to a traditional vulcanite bit in density. It remains very pleasant in the mouth, and is useful for stronger horses.

The Beris Loose Ring Ported Snaffle is available in 13cm or 14cm, in Soft or Hard densities.

An essential classic
Format: Paperback
The book has a scathing view of nobility and the upper class, with the regular people just a part of the scenery, so an allegory that has aged well and applies to modern times. I think it's an essential read to anyone who enjoys literature, as it can be argued that it's the genesis of many themes in modern stories.

Not bad, but still had flaws
Format: Paperback
While the novel was great in a way, I felt that it was outdated to me. It was written in the time that anti-heros were poorly made and if the creator of Reynard was aiming for Anti-hero when developing Reynard, he missed and hit sociopath instad. The pictures in the books are also outdated and laughable in our times. Reynard looks more like a shaved dog on the cover, I had a hard time identifying Noble the lion in his photos, ect. and the ending did`nt seem fullfilling though I felt a kick of excitment a few times.

Nice translation
Format: Paperback
It is not easy to translate poetry into poetry. It's bad enough simply trying to translate to prose. Ms. Terry does an excellent job. I read Le Roman de Renart in French while I was studying in France. Years later, I came across this translation. It is fascinating the way the original storytellers portrayed Renart. He is a completely hateful creature. Yet reading about him is fun. It's similar to how I feel about stories of Loki or Coyote. Renart is closer to Loki than to Coyote, despite the canine ancestry. He is more than simply a trickster: he is malevolent. If you have an interest in ancient folktales, you mustn't miss the story of Renart. This translation is different from any other I've read. The introduction gives a good perspective on the times when the stories were hatched.

Pretty good translation into English. Far from a complete collection, but certainly a good foundation.
