We tried this gorgeous wine at Elliot's Borough Market for a staff dinner and fell in love! Koppitsch is the tiny 6-hectare winery of Maria and Alex, nestled on the shallow slopes of Burgenland next to the beautiful Neusiedl lake.The grapes for this wine (and the Perspektiv tange) are grown on the Neuberg, a very rocky limestone hill, delivering wines that are very purist, precise and vivid. Here' you'll find charming minerality amongst enticing aromas of lime and white peach, clearly structured with depth of character and great finish.

Three-quarters of the grapes were directly pressed and juice went straight into old barriques, with a quarter fermented on skins for eight days. The wines matured on gross lees for 10 months without any additives or temperature control. Bottled unfiltered, unfined without the addition of sulphur.
