This Martin Custom Shop “000”, 28-Style Auditorium is built with beautiful highly flamed koa. The top, back, and sides are all visually stunning, due to this tropical hardwood, known not only for its aesthetic but also for its sonic palette. Underneath the koa is an Adirondack spruce, scalloped X brace, a meticulous touch that adds to the responsiveness and resonance of this guitar. Covering the fingerboard are Golden Era short diamond and square inlays, a nod to the past and a salute to the present. The rosette, a 000-28K Authentic 1921, adds a touch of vintage elegance, while the faux Tortoise pickguard offers a subtle yet distinctive aesthetic contrast. A select hardwood neck, carved to a Modified Low Oval profile with a standard taper, ensures playability that is familiar and smooth. The black ebony fingerboard, with a 16" radius, provides a canvas for the fingers to move with comfort. With 20 frets in total, each precisely positioned for optimum playability, this guitar creates a cozy and ergonomic playing experience.
