Kaart van het noordelijk deel van Azië. Afgezien van het uiterste westen van het land toont de kaart geheel Rusland. De kaart is zeer decoratief en bevat aardige details zoals de Chinese Muur; de ruim 10 jaar eerder ontdekte noordelijke kustlijn van Nova Zembla met informatie betreffende de expeditie van Willem Barentsz. uit 1594-1596. Korea wordt afgebeeld als een eiland. In het uiterste noorden van Siberië is een vermelding van de mythologische landstreken van Gog en Magog te vinden. Een drietal fraaie rolwerkcartouches onderaan de kaart: rechts cartouche met de titel; links cartouche met een aan de beschouwer van de kaart gerichte tekst onder de aanhef Lectori Salutem van Jodocus Hondius; rechts daarvan cartouche met schaalstok. Rugzijde Duitse tekst.
Oudtijds gekleurde kopergravure, uitgegeven te Amsterdam door Henricus Hondius in 1633 in Gerardi Mercatoris et I. Hondii. Newer Atlas oder Grosses Weltbuch (...).
