De familie Baele runt al generaties lang een landbouw- en melkbedrijf in de regio Namen in België. De verschillende crisissen van de laatste jaren in de landbouwsector moedigden Jean-François, de jonge zoon met een passie voor landbouw, aan om na te denken over een nieuwe richting voor het familiebedrijf. In 2005 kwam hij op het idee om een wijngaard van 5 hectare aan te leggen in Haspengouw. De wijngaarden zijn aangeplant naar het zuiden gerichte hellingen. Het land, de zon en de zeer bijzondere locatie zorgen samen voor grote en prachtige oogsten. Vinificatie:De druiven zijn direct na de oogst geperst, waarna de sappen zijn geselecteerd in de pers volgens de méthode Champenoise. Het begin van de eerste alcoholische gisting vindt plaats bij lage temperatuur gedurende 6-8 weken. Vervolgens een tweede gisting op de fles. De cuvée ligt ten minste 9 maanden sur lattes". "

Alba Botanica is my favorite brand for sunscreen products and it checks all the boxes on my list: Excellent long lasting coverage, fine mist spray and easy coverage cream versions, great for my sensitive skin (no breakouts- I do NOT use it on my face though), the Hawaiian fragrance is pleasant, it’s reef safe (a big one for me as a snorkel/dive aficionado), and organic ingredients. The large size lasts 5 full days when on a boat all day in the Carribbean, and I only apply it twice (once in morning, and again midday.) I have fair skin, and I never burn. The spray version is, by nature of its aerosol capacity, a bit drying on the skin, but this is to be expected, and it creates a long lasting barrier. The cream version is a wonderful emollient, although not quite as long lasting. Best deal is only in the summer season at CostCo for a 2 pack... in my searches, Amazon has the best deal otherwise.
