Orange describes the Getaway Driver as a 70s amplifier in a box. This chauffeur-driven getaway car takes you back to the guitar days of yesteryear in a single ride. The Getaway Driver instantly adds a vintage vibe to any guitar amplifier and excels in this, particularly on clean channels. However, the pedal is also a very effective clean boost to push an already overdriven amplifier even harder. The gain structure utilizes a Class A JFET circuit, just like a real tube amplifier.
