De Forekaster is perfect voor wedstrijden en is gebouwd rond een flexibel 120 tpi karkas, met een drievoudige 3C MaxxSpeed rubbersamenstelling, die een uitstekend compromis biedt met betere tractie en meer grip dan MaxxSpeed en superieure prestaties dan MaxxGrip. Drie soorten rubber worden gecombineerd: een harde onderlaag en twee zachtere rubbersamenstellingen op het oppervlak, met name aan de zijkanten, voor betere grip voor de laterale noppen.
In deze Tubeless Ready versie, die met of zonder binnenband gemonteerd kan worden, is de MAXXIS Forekaster band ook voorzien van de Exo versterking op de zijwanden, die extra bescherming biedt tegen schuren en scheuren.
