Het Vietnam-conflict bracht de koude oorlog tot een kookpunt en is een zwarte bladzijde in de Amerikaanse militaire geschiedenis. De actie simulator game Air Conflicts: Vietnam transporteert de speler naar 1965 en plaatst hem in het heetst van de strijd in een van de meest controversiële oorlogen uit de moderne tijd. Air Conflicts: Vietnam is het vierde deel uit de succesvolle serie, waarvan de voorgangers zich in de Eerste en Tweede Wereldoorlog afspeelden. Het Vietnam-conflict leverde op gamegebied eerder wel al inspiratie voor tal van shooters, maar het luchtruim bleef grotendeels onverkend. Air Conflicts: Vietnam brengt daar verandering in, en maakt het iedereen mogelijk om het strijdtoneel vanuit een verrassend ander perspectief te zien. Naast vliegtuigen - van de toptoestellen van de Amerikaanse tot de geduchte Russische MIG's - maken helikopters voor het eerst hun debuut in de franchise. Wendbaarder en subtieler dan straaljagers, en dus ideaal voor reddingoperaties of precisieaanvallen. Maar pas op, tegelijkertijd zijn ze ook stukken kwetsbaarder voor het luchtafweergeschut.

Typisch aan de Air Conflict-games is dat je niet een vuistdikke handleiding hoeft door te worstelen voordat je met jouw vliegtuig of helikopter het luchtruim kiest. De setting is realistisch en de modellen natuurgetrouw, maar de besturing heeft een echt arcadegevoel zodat je snel een vliegende start maakt. Toch zul je al je stuurmanskunst en stalen zenuwen nodig hebben om de meer dan twintig missies tot een goed einde te brengen. En soms zul je de cockpit tijdelijk moeten verruilen om achter het boordkanon plaats te nemen. Misschien maak je zo wel korte metten met je vrienden, want Air Conflicts: Vietnam bevat ook een uitgebreide online multiplayer…

I recommend using the KONG Extreme Dog Toy

Helpful for throwing as much as my dog wants to fetch. I actually had to get a cortisone injection in my shoulder a few months after getting my dog - never had a dog with this much energy before! The Chuckit really helps. Downside: The ball that comes with it is larger than a tennis ball, so may be too much for smaller doge. I can't imagine my sister-in-law's french bulldog carrying it! Also, in our house it gets destroyed within minutes, as my dog is a strong chewer. For this situation, I recommend using the KONG Extreme Dog Toy, Black, size Large. This is shaped sort of like a snowman, which means it bounces unpredictably at times. My dog eventually chews the "head" off of this toy, but the remaining 2/3 still fits in the Chuckit (and is actually easier to throw with the "head" missing!). One caveat: the KONG is significantly heavier than the ball included with the Chuckit, so be aware of that... Also, we ordered our first Chickit in October 2015, then needed to replace it in May of 2017, as it broke. I think the plastic became brittle over that time, as we left it out in the sun & rain in Florida. Since it is cheap to replace, that's not a big deal. (We ordered three Kong toys over that same period of time!) To summarize, it's a very helpful tool to get the ball further, faster, with less strain, than without it. Knowing there are alternatives to the included ball for heavy chewers makes it worthwhile.
