Deze Malbec komt uit Pays d’Oc IGP, in Zuid Frankrijk.

Ligging / Herkomst: Pays d’Oc IGP geeft Domaine Pujol de ruimte om Malbec als single varietal te maken binnen de warme, mediterrane context van de Languedoc.

Wijngaardpositie: De Malbec staat aangeplant onderaan de helling, waar de druiven voldoende rijpheid kunnen opbouwen voor een ronde, fruitrijke stijl.

Bodem: De bodem bestaat uit zandsteenmergel en rode klei. Die combinatie helpt de wijnstok aan structuur, waterreserves en rijp fruit met een kruidige onderlaag.

Wijngaard & Oogst: Malbec kan grillig produceren, waardoor goede controle in de wijngaard belangrijk is om ronde, gezonde druiven te krijgen.

Vinificatie en rijping

De vinificatie is klassiek en gericht op fruit, kleur en een soepele tanninestructuur.

Vergisting: De wijn wordt traditioneel vergist, waardoor de fruitexpressie van Malbec duidelijk herkenbaar blijft.

Maceratie: De wijn krijgt 3 weken maceratie. Wat is maceratie? Dat is de periode waarin sap en schillen samen in contact blijven, zodat kleur, tannines en aroma’s uit de druivenschillen worden gehaald.

Deze rode wijn wordt volledig gemaakt van Malbec.

100% Malbec – Pays d’Oc IGP: Malbec geeft deze wijn zijn donkere kleur, kruidige fruitexpressie, florale toets en stevige maar ronde structuur. In deze Zuid Franse uitvoering blijft de druif sappig, fris en verrassend toegankelijk.

Proefnotities en serveertips

Donkerpaars in het glas, met tonen van braam, framboos, zoethout, viooltjes en een lichte kruidigheid. De smaak is sappig en goed opgebouwd, met frisse spanning, ronde tannines en een soepele fruitkern. De afdronk blijft levendig, met een subtiel bitterzoet accent.

Serveertemperatuur: Serveer deze Malbec op 16–18 °C, zodat het donkere fruit, de kruidigheid en de ronde tannines mooi samenkomen.
