Werking
Steinernema carpocapsae zijn microscopisch kleine aaltjes die gebruikt kunnen worden als biologische bestrijder tegen insectenplagen. De kleine wormpjes dringen de insectenlarven binnen en scheiden een bacterie uit die het insect doodt. 

Steinernema carpocapsae is de beste keuze bij temperaturen tussen de 12°C en 30°C . Door zijn stabiele werking raden wij over het algemeen Steinernema carpocapsae aan voor de bestrijding van insectenplagen. 

Houdbaarheid
Aaltjes zijn een levend product en daardoor beperkt houdbaar. Advies is de aaltjes zo snel mogelijk in te zetten. Wil je de aaltjes toch langer bewaren, dan kan dat twee weken in de koelkast (4ºC-8ºC).

Toepassing
Voor optimaal resultaat worden de aaltjes 's avonds ingezet of op een bewolkte dag. De aaltjes kunnen namelijk niet tegen uv-licht. Zorg er altijd voor dat de bodem goed vochtig is vóór de behandeling, ook na de behandeling moet de bodem minimaal 2 weken vochtig blijven. Controleer de bodemtemperatuur voor gebruik. Overdosering is niet mogelijk.
