Kinderen kunnen in Skylanders Giants een avontuur beleven en dat met het speelgoed naspelen. Door het speelgoed op een meegeleverd plateau te plaatsen, wordt hetzelfde personage 'op magische wijze' in Skylanders Giants geplaatst. Data uit de game wordt opgeslagen in het speelgoedfiguurtje, waarna het speelgoed meegenomen kan worden naar de spelcomputer van vrienden.
