De bovenkant van deze zomerhoed kan naar wens geopend en dicht gedragen worden. Hierdoor ontstaat een zonneklep waar je haar boven uit gedragen kan worden en de hoed een geheel andere uitstraling krijgt.

Bij hoofdomvang is een koord om de hoed losser of strakker te maken.
