De rammelaar ontstond vanuit een samenwerking met oorartsen om het juiste geluid te creëren, om zo de zintuigen van baby's te stimuleren. Gesteriliseerde kersenpitten maken het rinkelende geluid in het speeltje.

De groene ring onder de kers zorgt ervoor dat de rammelaar gemakkelijk vast te pakken is. Het reliëf op de rammelaar stimuleert de tastzin en masseert het tandvlees om tandpijn bij baby's te verlichten. Zo is het ook een bijtspeeltje.
