Victron GX Tank 140: 4-Channel Tank Level Sensor Interface for Cerbo GX and GX Devices

Centralised Tank Monitoring for Off-Grid, Marine, and RV Systems

The Victron GX Tank 140 (BPP920140100) is a dedicated USB accessory that enables precise, real-time monitoring of up to four tank levels directly through your Victron GX device, such as the Cerbo GX. Designed for seamless integration with the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal and local display, it consolidates critical fluid data—fresh water, fuel, waste, and more—into a single, intuitive interface. This eliminates guesswork and manual checks, providing reliable insight for off-grid energy systems, marine vessels, and recreational vehicles.

Unlike generic tank sensor adapters, the GX Tank 140 is engineered for robust electrical isolation and configurable signal processing, reducing the risk of ground loops and false readings. It supports both 4 to 20 mA current senders and 0 to 10 V voltage senders, offering flexibility for a wide range of existing tank sensors. With built-in 24 VDC power on two channels and fused external power support on the others, installation is straightforward, even in complex setups.

Key Features

  • Monitors up to four tanks simultaneously via USB connection to any Victron GX device
  • Compatible with 4 to 20 mA and 0 to 10 V sensors, including mixed configurations
  • Integrated 24 VDC supply on channels 3 and 4 powers sensors directly, simplifying wiring
  • Configurable input ranges allow use of partial-scale sensors, such as 0 to 5 V
  • Adjustable averaging filter (1 to 60 seconds) delivers stable, damped readings
  • Automatic fault detection triggers alarms for out-of-range values or wiring issues
  • NMEA 2000 output via GX device enables tank level display on marine MFDs
  • USB-powered with 1.5 m cable—no extra power supply needed for the unit itself

Precision Monitoring with Advanced Signal Handling

The GX Tank 140 addresses common challenges in tank level sensing, such as erratic readings from sloshing fluids or sensor noise. Its configurable damping filter smooths data over a user-defined period, ensuring the displayed level reflects actual volume rather than transient fluctuations. The device also validates sensor signals continuously; if a sensor fails or wiring becomes compromised, an immediate alarm notifies you via the GX system, helping prevent undetected overflows or dry runs.

For marine applications, the GX Tank 140 extends its utility by relaying tank data onto the NMEA 2000 network. This allows multifunction displays (MFDs) and other onboard instruments to access fuel, water, and waste levels without additional gateways, streamlining your helm’s information layout.

Flexible Configuration for Diverse Tank Types

Supporting six fluid types—fuel, fresh water, waste water, live well, oil, and black water—the GX Tank 140 adapts to virtually any liquid storage monitoring need. Volume can be displayed in litres, cubic metres, imperial gallons, or US gallons. For irregularly shaped tanks, up to ten custom shape points can be defined, enabling accurate volume calculation even in non-linear containers. This level of customisation is rarely found in standard sensor interfaces, making the GX Tank 140 a valuable tool for precise resource management.

Simplified Installation and Reliable Operation

Installation is streamlined: connect the GX Tank 140 to your Cerbo GX or other GX device via the included USB cable, and it powers up immediately—no external power brick required. Channels 3 and 4 provide isolated 24 VDC to drive compatible sensors, while channels 1 and 2 accept externally powered sensors through a dedicated terminal with self-resetting fuses (20 mA). All four channels share a common ground, so careful planning of sensor wiring is recommended to avoid potential interaction, though the USB interface remains electrically isolated from the sensor side for system safety.

The compact, rugged enclosure features integrated mounting flanges for secure installation in equipment bays or bulkheads. Side-entry terminal blocks keep wiring neat and accessible, while the reinforced cable gland protects the USB connection from strain and vibration.

Enhance Your Energy Ecosystem with Integrated Tank Data

By adding tank level monitoring to your Victron GX system, you gain a holistic view of your off-grid or mobile resource status. Pair the GX Tank 140 with a Cerbo GX and VRM portal to track not only battery state, solar yield, and inverter loads, but also water and fuel reserves—all from a single dashboard. This integration supports smarter decision-making, whether you’re managing a remote homestead, a cruising yacht, or a caravan expedition.

Ready to eliminate manual tank checks and gain real-time visibility? Add the Victron GX Tank 140 to your monitoring setup today and experience the confidence of knowing your fluid levels at a glance, wherever you are.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
