Harlequin Bass Serranus TigrinusOverview: The Harlequin Bass, with its dazzling pattern of black stripes and spots over a white to yellowish base, is a striking addition to any marine aquarium. This small, yet vibrant, species reaches up to 4 inches in length and is known for its peaceful demeanor and relatively easy care, making it a jewel among saltwater fish.
Origin: Native to the warm, reef-rich waters of the Western Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico, the Harlequin Bass thrives in environments that mimic the complexity and shelter of coral reefs.
Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, the Harlequin Bass benefits from a varied diet. Offering a mix of marine flake food, frozen or live brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and other small, meaty foods will ensure good health and color vibrancy. Feed small amounts twice a day for best results.
Tank Mates: Ideal tank mates include similarly sized, peaceful fish. Due to its non-aggressive nature, the Harlequin Bass coexists well with gobies, clownfish, and cardinalfish. Avoid housing with large or aggressive species that may bully or harm this gentle bass.
Aggression: Exhibiting low aggression, this species is a model citizen in community tanks. However, it is advisable to keep only one Harlequin Bass per tank to prevent territorial disputes among its kind.
Experience Level: Suitable for both novice and experienced aquarists, the Harlequin Bass requires basic knowledge of marine aquarium upkeep. Its resilience and adaptability make it a forgiving choice for those new to saltwater aquaria.
Water Parameters: To thrive, the Harlequin Bass requires stable water conditions: a temperature range of 72-78°F (22-26°C), a pH level of 8.1-8.4, and specific gravity of 1.020-1.025. Regular water changes and good filtration are essential to maintain these parameters and support the health of your Harlequin Bass.
In conclusion, the Harlequin Bass (Serranus tigrinus) is an exquisite and manageable addition for those looking to add a splash of color and serenity to their marine aquarium. Its ease of care and peaceful nature make it a perfect candidate for a diverse and vibrant community tank.

Easy to use!
Style: SPF 50, Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Great sunscreen for summer! The spray goes on evenly, smells nice, and isn’t sticky. It protects well even on really sunny days, and the water resistance is a big plus. Easy to toss in a beach bag and use on the go.

Good sunscreen, but the shade didn’t work for me
Color: Medium
I bought the Colorescience Flex in Medium because I had seen great reviews and liked the idea of a tinted mineral sunscreen. The formula itself felt really high quality and it did provide good sun protection, but the shade didn’t end up working for my skin tone.
✔️ What I liked:
- Great daily mineral sun protection.
- Lightweight texture and easy to apply.
- Didn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts.
- Nice natural finish at first.
❌ What I didn’t like:
- On my skin, the Medium shade looked orange.
- The color didn’t blend well with my undertone.
- I had to work it in quite a bit to avoid a noticeable line with my neck.
I think the formula is really good, but the shade selection definitely requires care. In my case, it just wasn’t the right match

Finally found my perfect match!! In foundation!
Color: Medium, Color: Medium
I’ve used many high-end foundations over the years, but Colorescience has become my everyday favorite. It feels incredibly lightweight on the skin and provides a natural, healthy-looking finish that doesn’t feel heavy or cakey.
The added SPF is a huge bonus and makes my morning routine so much easier. I also love how perfectly it matches my skin tone, it blends seamlessly and looks like my skin, just more even and polished.
If you prefer a natural, lightweight foundation with the added benefit of sun protection, this one is definitely worth trying.
