In Terra Mystica, 14 distinct peoples inhabit seven different landscapes, each tied to its own environment. To expand and thrive, these groups must terraform neighboring areas to match their home environment while competing with others.
This full-information game, devoid of luck, rewards strategic planning. Each player manages one of the 14 groups, aiming to control as much territory as possible and enhance their group's unique skills. Players can also advance in four religious cults.
Players take turns executing actions based on their available resources. Various buildings provide different benefits: Dwellings increase worker numbers, Trading Houses generate income, Strongholds unlock special abilities, and Temples advance religious and terraforming skills. Buildings can be upgraded—Dwellings to Trading Houses, Trading Houses to Strongholds or Temples, and Temples to Sanctuaries.
Proximity to other groups offers extra power but complicates expansion, adding a strategic layer to your terraforming and seafaring efforts.
