Domaine Georges Roumier Bonnes Marres Grand Cru 2023This wine comes from east facing vineyards on a moderately steep slope, where 40 year old vines grow on chalky marl at the top and clay limestone lower down. Hand harvested and sorted, the grapes are fermented with native yeasts, partially destemmed, and gently worked, then aged 16 months in oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Roumiers two Bonnes Mares parcelsone higher on chalk rich soils, one lower with more clayare vinified separately
This wine comes from east-facing vineyards on a moderately steep slope, where 40-year-old vines grow on chalky marl at the top and clay-limestone lower down. Roumier’s two Bonnes-Mares parcels—one higher on chalk-rich soils, one lower with more clay—are vinified separately and blended to combine lifted aromatics and minerality with structure and depth.
