Behind the scenes, he is a secret operative carrying out cloak-and-dagger assignments for U.S. intelligence.
Using his acting talents, charm and skill with disguises, Bradley becomes an international knight errant, stepping in to protect threatened women, aid defecting scientists, expose criminal plots and rescue those caught in webs of espionage and danger. His missions come through the cool, stiff-upper-lipped Mr. Parminter, played by Barry Morse, who poses publicly as Bradley’s business manager and producer while secretly serving as his intelligence contact.
Along the way, Bradley is assisted by fellow agents Vince, played by Stuart Damon, and later Gavin Jones, played by Garrick Hagon, with Catherine Schell appearing as Diane, his agency contact.
Created by Dennis Spooner and produced by ITC, The Adventurer was filmed on location in France and at Elstree Studios in the United Kingdom.
