The propane Fire Pit is a fun answer to the bulky fire pits available on the market.  We wanted a fire pit that was easy to assemble, easy to store and light weight.

The Fire Pit by TemboTusk is made from Stainless Steel and is designed to be used as a propane fire pit only.  The Kit includes the flat pack fire pit, a 20,000 BTU burner, a 4' stainless steel braided propane hose with regulator, and a high-quality carry bag.

The assembled fire pit measures 12" long by 10" wide and 7" tall. The fire pit slots together and packs flat.

The Carry Bag is made from an extremely durable dual-layer heavyweight material with padding to protect both the Fire Pit and the vehicle it is stored in. Marine grade thread is used for rough outdoor environments and the bag comes with a sturdy handle for transport.  The closures are YKK zippers.   The fire pit carry bag has two internal sections; one for the stainless steel fire pit parts and the other for the propane hose.   The Bag is 12.5" x 14" x 2", so it can fit in a storage drawer, AluBox, Front Runner Wolf Pack, or behind your seat in the vehicle.  The TemboTusk Fire Pit takes very little room for storage.

What comes with the Fire Pit Kit?

1:  Two Stainless Steel end pieces
2:  Two Stainless Steel side pieces (that slot  into the end pieces)
3:  S.S. flame diffuser
4:  S.S. bottom wind guard
5:  Stainless-Steel Flame trees
6:  Burner with a 3/8" flared fitting
7:  Stainless Steel 4' braided  propane hose with regulator
8:  Cotton Bag with fire rocks.
9:  Heavy duty carry bag

How to use your TemboTusk Fire Pit
(Do not use in high winds)

The Stainless-Steel Fire Pit comes flat packed in its own carry bag.

1: Remove all the parts from the bag.

2: Assemble the parts by inserting the sides of the firepit into the end pieces one at a time.  Making sure the bottom of the fire pit come together.  Drop in the angled wind guard.

3: Insert the burner pipe into the fire pit through the large keyhole and lock the end cap into the other side.  The burner pipe has a notch milled into it to secure it into the keyhole.  Make sure the burner holes are facing up.

4: Drop in the flame diffuser over the burner, using the slot to secure the diffuser in place.

5:  Assemble the Stainless-Steel Flame trees and place over the diffuser.

6: connect the 3/8” gas connector to the burner.

7:  Making sure all valves are set to OFF.  Connect the gas hose and regulator to the propane bottle.

8: To light:  Carefully open the gas valve and adjust gas flow with the regulator knob.  Use a long BBQ lighter or Tembo tusk Arc lighter to ignite the first holes in the burner.  Adjust flame to a desired height.  Never open the valve to its fully open position.

9: Enjoy the Fire Pit responsibly.

10: allow to cool before disassembly and packing.  Keep a pair of gloves in the bag to keep soot off hands.

Remember:  The Fire Pit is not a cooking device.  The burner emits soot not suitable for cooking.    If you must cook, please use one of our TemboTusk Skottle Grills!

CLEANING AND CARE

The TemboTusk Fire Pit is made from Stainless steel.  Wipe off any soot to clean or place the parts in the dishwasher.  Do Not place the burner in the dishwasher.

The Fire Pit is rated at 20,000 BTUs

1 pound bottle will last approximately 1 hour

5 pound bottle will last approximately 5 hours

10 pound bottle will last approximately 10 hours

20 pound bottle will last approximately 20 hours

REGULATOR HOSE ASSEMBLY

Only use hose supplied with your Fire Pit. It is designed to work with a LP Gas Cylinder and is a Type-1 connection device with the following features:

  1. The system will not allow gas flow from the cylinder until a positive connection to the cylinder valve has been made. NOTE: The cylinder valve must be turned off (clockwise) before any connection is made or removed.
  2. A flow limiting device, when activated, restricts the flow of gas. To reset, turn the regulator valve to off position.

If you have any issues with your hose or regulator, please contact TemboTusk at [email protected].

Rules to Live By:

  1. Never leave your TemboTusk Firepit unattended.
  2. Never use the Fire Pit indoors. ((Carbon Monoxide) For OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
  3. Adult use only.  Children are not to operate the Fire Pit.
  4. Before attaching the propane canister check to make sure all your valves are in the OFF position and that the hose is in good working condition.
  5. Make sure all fittings are snuggly attached.
  6. Always light  the burner on the lowest setting.
  7. Use a long BBQ lighter or Tembo Tusk Arc lighter and light at the first hole on burner closest to the gas inlet.
  8. Wait for your Fire Pit to completely cool before touching it.
  9. This is not a cooking device.
  10. Always check with local law enforcement regarding fire restrictions.

Never use the Fire Pit indoors.  Carbon Monoxide is deadly.

Make sure that the Fire Pit is in a properly ventilated area outdoors. Never use the Fire Pit in a camper, tent, or garage. Propane gives off carbon monoxide. Too much carbon monoxide will cause a person’s oxygen level to be depleted and may lead to death. Make sure that the propane cylinder that attaches to the Fire Pit is up to date and in good working order.   Tighten all fittings on the tank and Fire Pit burner before use.

Place the Fire Pit on a firm, level and nonflammable surface, away from brush or overhangs. To protect the ground, put the Fire Pit on a fire blanket, grab a flat rock or use an established fire ring. Keep the propane tank upright. If you hear or smell a propane leak, quickly turn off the burner, immediately exit the area and call the fire department for assistance.

The Fire Pit will be hot during use and will take time to cool after use.  Use gloves to disassemble.

INSPECTING REGULATOR HOSE ASSEMBLY

The Regulator Hose Assembly is a pre-assembled unit. Do not take apart. Prior to each use, visually inspect the regulator hose assembly. If there is evidence of abrasion, wear, cuts or leaks, the hose must be replaced prior to the appliance being put into operation. To remove, use a wrench to loosen the brass connector on the hose. To reattach, wrench tighten the brass connector back to the burner assembly.

CONNECTING REGULATOR HOSE ASSEMBLY TO LP GAS CYLINDER

  1. Check that cylinder is upright, and the valve is closed by turning the knob clockwise.
  2. Check that the Regulator Control Valve is also closed by turning the knob clockwise.
  3. Remove the protective safety caps from the cylinder valve and the Type-1 Coupling Nut on the regulator.
  4. Insert the nipple of the large coupling nut into the cylinder valve outlet. Ensure that the coupling nut is centered properly.
  5. Turn the large coupling nut clockwise by hand and tighten to a full stop. Take care not to cross thread the coupling nut onto the cylinder valve. Do not use tools to tighten connection.

NOTE: If you are unable to make the connection, repeat steps 4 and 5.

  1. Check that the hose does not contain kinks, does not come into contact with sharp edges, and does not contact surfaces that may become hot during use.

GAS LEAK TEST INSTRUCTIONS

Note: The gas leak test must be performed in an area that has adequate lighting in order to see if bubbles are developing. DO NOT use a flashlight to check for bubbles.

  1. Create a mixture of 50% water and 50% liquid dishwashing soap.
  2. Turn the gas cylinder valve to the OFF position (clockwise). Then turn regulator control valve to OFF position (clockwise).
  3. To turn ON the fuel supply, turn the cylinder valve knob one turn counterclockwise. Gas will flow through and stop at the regulator.
  4. Using a clean brush, apply the soap water mixture to the following: Cylinder Valve to Cylinder Connection Nut to Cylinder Valve Back side of Connection Nut to Brass Nipple Control Valve next to Regulator connection to Gas Supply Hose LP Cylinder Welds Gas Supply Hose connection to Burner on Fryer Full length of Gas Supply Hose
  5. Check each junction for growing bubbles which indicates a leak.
  6. Next, turn ON regulator valve (clockwise) to permit gas to pass through the hose. Apply soap water mixture to full length of gas supply hose and connection to burner on fryer. Check each place for growing bubbles which indicates a leak.
  7. Turn OFF gas supply valve (clockwise) on LP Gas Cylinder.
  8. Turn regulator control valve to OFF position (clockwise).
  9. Tighten any leaking connections.
  10. Repeat soap water mixture test until no leaks are detected.
  11. After you are certain there are no leaks, turn the tank valve and regulator control valve to OFF position. Wait 5 minutes for any gas fumes to evacuate before lighting the burner.

Simple and not Drama claim process.
’ve had Asurion coverage for a couple of years and never needed to use it until recently, when my pool salt cell (less than two years old) stopped working. I had purchased it with an Asurion protection plan, so I contacted them to start a claim. The process was simple and straightforward to follow. In the end, they honored the plan and covered the cost of my salt cell based on the value when I originally bought it. They issued me a gift card that I could use on Amazon for that amount. While prices have gone up and a new cell now costs about $200 more, it was still definitely worth having the coverage. Overall, I’m satisfied with how the claim was handled.

Love this protection plan
Quick and easy. My daughter's cracked her screen on her phone, as soon as it happened I went on the app, filed the claim. Ten minutes later I received the email with the shipping lable. The following day I dropped the phone off at ups and 4 hours later I received the digital gift card. Ive filed several claims since getting the protection plan and with four kids its definitelysomething im glad to have especially since i dont have to buy a protectionplan for each item now. I have filed claims for electric scooter the stoped working for no reason, my son's phone stopped charging, my oldest daughter cracked her phone screen, my son's video game controllers up and died and each time it was quick and easy and no fuss

Don't waste your money - these people will not help you
On March 9th 2024, I purchased a MCombo Lift Chair costing $785. On the same day, through the same Amazon account (my PERSONAL account since I also have a business account), I purchased an Asurion Complete Protect policy at the cost of $16.99 per month plus taxes. About one month ago, a problem arose with the chair that required me to make a claim using the "Complete Protect" policy that I had purchased for that very item. The claim was initiated on January 1st, 2025 - On January 3rd, I received an email asking me for photographs showing the damage for which I was making a claim. I sent those photographs via email to the address provided on January 6th. On January 27th, having not received ANY response from Asurion, I contacted them via phone and was told that my purchase had been made with a business account, that it was being used for business purposes, and was therefore not covered. I assured the Asurion Representative that it was most certainly not a business use, and that the chair that I was claiming for had been purchased because I had extensive shoulder surgery done that made it impossible to get in and out of bed. After speaking (unsuccessfully) with the Asurion Rep, I then contacted Amazon Customer Service. I spoke with an Amazon Customer Service Representative on the phone who confirmed that I had in fact used my personal account to purchase the chair and the Asurion Complete Protect policy. That representative went on to send a message to Asurion on my behalf confirming that the purchase was for personal use and not business use. Asurion responded, asking me to call them with the order number for the Asurion purchase. The number I gave was the exact same order number on my order history, however, the Asurion Rep could not find it. I was finally able to discover that the order number in Asurion's system was entirely different and isn't even in the same format as an Amazon order number. Upon the Asurion representative finding my plan, she informed me that the chair was listed as being purchased for business use (despite Amazon confirming that it was NOT) but that I should give them "a couple of business days" to resolve the issue. Five business days later, still no response and so I called them again (Yesterday - February 1st 2025)... Lo and behold, I got the same crap yet again... the purchase was listed as business use and was therefore being denied, but she promised to remove the business use commentary and put the claim through again. Today, February 2nd, I called Amazon yet again to escalate and had to call THREE times because the first two calls resulted in me finally being connected to an Asurion representative (two different reps) and each time, the Asurion representative hung up the phone as soon as my name was mentioned. It has become clear to me that the Asurion "Complete Protect" policy is a SCAM - they will NOT take care of your issue, regardless of how long you've been paying. I have been paying every month since March 9th last year - so they've received over $170 from me thus far, with zero other claims, and if I am able to cancel right now, I will only receive $16.99 back. All I want, is the chair that I purchased the policy for coverage of, to be repaired or replaced. Asurion are NOT helping, and are actively avoiding contact. At this point, I am considering legal action against Asurion for fraud - perhaps even a Class Action. I'll wait and see if my issue gets resolved within the next 10 days or so.

Asurion is AWESOME!
Ok, so let me start with the fact that you should NOT waste your time calling Amazon's customer service if you think you have a claim under Asurion's monthly protection plan. CALL ASURION! I wasted almost an hour with Amazon representatives that have absolutely no training in how the Asurion plan works, or even any idea if my item was covered. In fact, they told me the mechanized chair I purchased under the plan wasn't covered! Finally, my call got escalated to a manager who was just as clueless about my coverage, but had the best idea ever... call Asurion! The smartest thing I did that morning was hang up with Amazon, and reach out to Asurion as I should have done in the first place. Dealing with Asurion's customer service, after my Amazon call, was like being elevated to VIP status! 😄 Asurion's rep nicely took all my info, including the chair's purchase date and order number. Then they asked that I upload a couple of pictures of the product, along with a written description of the malfunction I had mentioned over the phone. This is where it gets really good. They told me they'd review the claim to determine if they'd send a repair specialist or reimburse me the cost of the item. In less than 48 hours, they determined that a payout was in order, and sent me an email that included an Amazon gift card for the total cost of the item minus the taxes I had paid, which I loaded directly into my Amazon wallet. Apparently, Asurion does not include the purchase taxes in their coverage. But, I can live with that. All in all, Asurion's claims division get a double thumbs up 👍🏽👍🏽, and the company gets big ups from me for not only standing behind their protection plan, but doing so expeditiously! Special note: If you buy a lot of stuff from Amazon, and have Asurion's monthly protection plan, scroll the item listing before pulling the trigger on your purchase... you need to see the green streamer that indicates your product is protected by the plan. If you don't see that, check to see if there are alternative products that might be covered. There are very few electronic or high ticket items that aren't covered, but looking for that green banner in the item description that says it's covered is key to foregoing any future headaches.
