Many associate the names George Whitefield and John Wesley with the eighteenth-century Evangelical Revival, while the name Selina Hastings, the Countess of Huntingdon, is less familiar. But this remarkable woman played a crucial role in the revival in Europe, interacting and forming friendships with many of its key players. The Countess leveraged her wealth and high position in English society to widen the evangelistic impact of the revival. Her sacrifices would ultimately see, among her many efforts, the establishment of over 60 chapels and a college for training ministers.

Readers will be encouraged not only by how steadfastly Selina laboured but also by how she persevered in the face of illness, the deaths of her husband and children, and devastating setbacks in her gospel ministry. Yet trusting wholeheartedly in Christ her Saviour—and not the vanity and riches prized by her aristocratic peers—Selina lived out a faith characterized by boldness, zeal, and love. One evangelical leader described her influence: “I feel from Lady Huntingdon’s example an increasing desire both for myself and for you and all our friends that we may be active and eminent in the life of grace.”

______________

“It’s almost impossible to read an account of eighteenth-century Christianity without encountering the name of Selina Hastings. While her greatest influence was in England, her desire to see the gospel spread to every nation brought her in contact with Christians in many continents. Many well-known preachers acknowledged a debt of gratitude to the countess for the extent of their ministry. And yet, today, her story is still not widely known. In this fascinating biography, Priscilla Wong explores primary sources to unveil many facets of the countess’ life, helping readers to understand her faith, dreams, and challenges as a woman, wife, mother, friend, evangelist, church planter, and benefactor. Readers will form a close bond with this exceptional woman and be inspired to set their eyes on the same Christ that had captivated her life.” Simonetta Carr, Author of Questions Women Asked and the Christian Biographies for Young Readers series

It's different. Not bad, but nothing special.
Color: Navy Melange, Size: XX-Large
The fit is good. I'd say medium weight. It's not quite as light as some of the microfiber pullovers I like to wear playing golf, and not quite as flexible. I'm not sure I like the decorative stitching. The stitching on the shoulders and along the sides makes it look like it's on inside out. Also, the material has kind of a paper feeling to it (for want of a better description). Overall it's decent looking, not a bad fit, not a bad feel, it just doesn't 'wow' me. Unless the price is better than it is now, and already having one, I doubt I'd buy it again. Most of this is just my own opinion based on personal preference. The overall manufacturing quality seems very good. Someone else might think this is the nicest pullover they own.

Excellent quality and value
This is my 4th Maelreg 1/4 zip shirt. I've lost a lot of weight and looking for clothing that fits well and doesn't feel like a shirt from China. I found that the quality and fit are excellent. The fabric is soft, well made and slightly heavier than other 1/4 zips I've purchased on Amazon. The weight of fabric gives a quality feel. The styles of Maelreg pullovers are great. I get a lot of compliments on these shirts.

MAELREG Clothing Looks Great!
Love this quarter zip. MAELREG makes some comfortable, sharp looking clothing. Their golf apparel is fantastic. The value is worth it. Their shirts are true to size. I am 6', 215lbs and wear an XL, which fits nicely.

Great for Tall Guys
I got this for my husband, he has a pullover that he has worn for years and it needed replacing. Finding one like this that was lightweight and loose fit was a big challenge. He loves the quality and fabric and its not hot but still helps when their is a breeze or chill. I liked that the color and pattern are versatile for all seasons. He is 6'5 and it actually fits his torso! Just get it!

It’s a hit!
Color: Brown Grey Camo, Size: Large
I picked on of these up after seeing it online. I have multiple Maelreg items and all are great quality. They are my go to golf and casual clothing brand. Super comfortable, soft, light weight, and perfect fit. Olive on the east coast and this color is all the rage in the area. These are some of the best value 1/4 zips out there.
