He quickly lost interest in the toy; largely within a week at most and never picks it up again unless really bored. Squeaky toys had a life shelf of a week at best, that is with us taking them away to "preserve" them for longer. So far, this toy, the fish, has been the longest surviving squeaky and the longest at keeping his interest. it has received some cosmetic damage, but nothing that would make you remove the toy from his possession and it STILL squeaks.

It's a very good product. I would recommend this toy for a heavy chewing dog. My main reasons it's not 5 stars, it's HEAVY and the eyes peeled right off. My pup really likes to throw his toys around, this thing sounds like a cannon ball that's going to go through our floor! He also tries to destroy everything so he was chewing on the eyes and he would have definitely eaten them if I wasn't paying attention. It's not a horrible thing but I obviously don't want him to eat non food things. My dog also likes the squeaker in it, but it's difficult for me to get it to squeak. He's chewed parts of the softer areas off a bit, but the rest is very hard so he hasn't made much of a dent. It's also about as big as his head, so he's pretty happy with it!
