Regularly cleaning your strings will significantly prolong their life and use. Brilliance, resonance, and overall sound quality will improve by removing dirt and oil which significantly dampen vibrations and overtones.

- Each wipe saturated with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol - highest purity available

Important note about the purity of the Alcohol:
Isopropyl wipes are commonly available for uses such medical needs, computer screen cleaners or glasses cleaners. However most of these only have a purity between 70%-80% and contain other ingredients such as water or perfumes which are damaging to strings. The Leatherwood Rosin wipes are the highest purity available, 99%, which means no other chemical residue will be left on the string once the alcohol evaporates away. 

Instructions for best use:

• Lay a cloth cover underneath the fingerboard to protect the varnish from any contact with the liquid. We recommend the Leatherwood Rosin cleaning cloth
  
• Slightly loosen your strings so they can be lifted off the bridge, but do not remove them from the instrument
  
• Use the string cleaning wipe as soon as the sachets is opened as the cleaning liquid will evaporate very quickly
  
• Wipe the full surface and length of the string until you notice the dirt and oil build up on the wipe
  
• Wait for the string to dry, the liquid evaporates extremely quickly
  
• Tighten your strings, and the strings are ready to use again
  
• Discard wipe after single use
  

We recommend using:
1 wipe to clean four strings on violin or viola
2 wipes for four strings for cello and double bass 
This product is not recommended for unwound, or open gut strings.
