WHAT IS IN ROCTANE ELECTROLYTE CAPSULES?

Our capsules include electrolytes (sodium, magnesium, chloride) to aid in hydration by maintaining fluid balance and plasma volume;† vitamin D, which is important for calcium absorption and bone health;† and vitamin B6 to help improve your energy metabolism.

WHEN SHOULD I TAKE ELECTROLYTE CAPSULES?

Roctane Electrolyte Capsule can be taken anytime you feel the need to replenish or prevent electrolyte losses due to exercise. They can be taken before, during, or after high intensity efforts.

WHY IS POTASSIUM NOT INCLUDED IN ROCTANE ELECTROLYTE CAPSULES?

There isn't sufficient evidence to support potassium supplementation during exercise, since we lose potassium at a much lower rate than sodium. In fact, sodium represents a 7x greater proportion in sweat than potassium and is important for avoiding hyponatremia, or low blood sodium levels.

HOW SHOULD I USE ROCTANE ELECTROLYTE CAPSULES WITH OTHER GU PRODUCTS?

Electrolyte needs vary from person to person. If you are a particularly salty sweater, you might need to consider supplementing the sodium you're getting in GU Energy products with Capsules. Try 1-2 capsules/hour - always with a few sips of water - as needed to help replace electrolytes lost in sweat.
