The Pro-Billet Y-Block Distributor, PN 83831,is built around a CNC-machinedbillet aluminum housing that is fit with a sealed ball bearing guide for stability and endurance. From timing accuracy, a maintenance-free magnetic pickup reliably triggers the MSD Ignition Control.
For tuning, theY-Block Distributor features MSD's easy-to-adjust mechanical advance. Different tension springs and a variety of stop bushings allow you to custom tailor a timing curve to match your application. There is also a vacuum advancethat will help with economy during cruises and throttle transitions.
The distributor is supplied with an MSD red, injection molded cap and rotor. It connects directly into the 2-pin connector of the MSD Ignition control such as a 6AL
- Vacuum advance canister for improved economy (can be locked out)
- CNC machined billet aluminum housing and billet aluminum base
- Maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor create stable triggersignals throughout the rpm range
- Polished steel shaft is QPQ coated and guidedby a sealed ball bearing
- Advance plate and weights are fine blanked from chrome moly steel and QPQcoated for friction reduction
- Mechanical advance assembly can be lockedout for crank trigger systems
- Advance weightpins are staked and tig weldedto the plate
- Nylon pads ensure smooth operation of the advance weights
- Requires an MSD Ignition Control
