GMT Games is re-releasing two classic Great Battles of History titles in a deluxe edition. Great Battles of Julius Caesar combines Caesar: The Civil Wars (1994) and Caesar: Conquest of Gaul (1996, reprinted 2006) into one comprehensive package, along with additional battles from separate modules.
The deluxe edition features a unified rulebook for all the land battles from the original games, with the naval battle having its own separate rulebook. The included scenario book presents 20 battles in chronological order, showcasing the evolution of the Roman military system from early confrontations with foreign foes, through Caesar's wars in Gaul and against Roman rivals, to the Roman invasion of Britain a century later.
The package also includes modules and games such as Rise of the Roman Warlords - Marius.
