Ridge Gourd (Luffa acutangula), locally known as کالی توری, is a traditional desi variety producing long, dark green, deeply ridged, and tender fruits with excellent taste. This non-hybrid (open-pollinated) variety is well adapted to Pakistani climate, vigorous in growth, and gives continuous harvesting over a long period. The fruits are highly nutritious and widely used in curries, stir-fries, and traditional desi dishes.
This desi kali tori is heat tolerant, fast growing, and ideal for kitchen gardens, fields, and trellis cultivation.
