ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A courageous philosophy of life to turn your world around.

There is nothing riskier than living life always on the safe side.

In a society that avoids pain and discomfort, a call to courage is needed. Fear, disappointment, and sadness are not the opposites of love, excitement, or joy -- they are all part of the experience of living. If we want to reach the golden points of life, we must also be willing to fall and feel the discouragement of the stitches that hold us together. The alternative is often the middle zone, that space where, in trying to avoid pain, we also close the door to life's most extraordinary moments. Sadly, many people choose it.

Live So That It Hurts to Leave is a brave philosophy of life that brings us closer to our dreams and to deep connections through commitment, authenticity, and courage. The reward? Feeling that, despite the wounds, our existence has been worthwhile.

Following the success of The Universe of Simplicity, Pablo Arribas invites us to become the protagonists of our own story, combining his well-known reflections on personal growth with his many adventures from his journey around the world.

Great way to introduce children to drag queens and gender transition
Format: Paperback
This is a nice story about a little girl (in 5th grade) who lives with her mom and uncle who is a drag queen. Over the course of the story, she realizes that the reason she doesn’t like make-up, jewelry, dresses, and nail polish is NOT because she has watched a grown man wear those things her entire life. And it isn’t because some girls just don’t like those things. It is because she is really a boy. She transitions to a boy and is finally happy. This is a great story to introduce children to drag queens and the idea that if they aren’t stereotypical girls or boys, they might be born in the wrong body. Happiness can be found living a life pretending to be the sex that you are not.

Amazing!
Format: Kindle
My diverse literature professor required we read this book for a literature circle assignment. I absolutely adore this book! It was a window inside the life of a transgender child. Juvenile content for young readers but a serious and important overall theme. I highly recommend.
