97 points - "This is all from the Wyjup vineyard and there is a mix of old and younger plantings, with about 2/3 coming from the 79 planting. It was all handpicked and whole bunch pressed to barrel with full solids. It was stirred monthly with about 40% of the oak new. Thijs is an intense and powerful wine with rich textured fruit. Lemon curd and roasted almond. A small amount of malo naturally happens, adding that extra middle palate weight and lifted complexity. Has a fine mineral threading through with a rich palate mouth feel. The dry savoury finish is perfectly balanced with a funky solids influence."- Ray Jordan Wine

93 points - "Pretty and complex aromas of grilled nuts, white stone fruit, melon skin, white flowers and nougat. There's also a fair whack of oak evident. Mouth-filling, layered and complex in flavour. Peach, grapefruit, minerals and nutty oak are all in play. 94 points - "From finest parcels and old vines. This is a chardonnay of power and presence. Big whiffs of sandalwood, cedar, cinnamon and honey butter with ripe nectarine and green melon underlying. The palate is fleshy and rich, loaded with sweet spices, more honey, buttery texture, and a mix of green apple and grapefruit fruit characters. Lush yet finds good balance in its amplitude.
