ACT spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and increase strength and reliability. It is indeed comfortable

I really like this leash. The color is vibrant and I have experienced zero fading even though I leave it outside. I really appreciate the padded handle and the entire leash is a good substantial weight - I hate a flimsy leash. I would not hesitate to purchase this again if needed.
