Profondo e intenso il bouquet olfattivo, composto dapprima da more surmature e da frutta a polpa scura in genere, poi impreziosito da richiami al tabacco, alle spezie, al cuoio e alla liquirizia. Armonioso il sorso, sorretto da una nobile e levigata trama tannica, succoso e lungo nella persistenza.

È un bel Barolo, dalla qualità eccelsa e prezioso in tutte le sue componenti organolettiche. Il Barolo di Domenico Clerico nasce da viti che hanno unetà media di trentanni. Riposa per due anni, parte in barrique di rovere francese, parte in botti da 50 hl di rovere di Slavonia. Infine viene assemblato il blend, così da arrivare a proporre un vino di estrema eleganza, sorprendente per precisione gusto-olfattiva e notevole per profondità e finitura. Favoloso nel rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Ottimo con piatti a base di cacciagione o selvaggina, è perfetto per accompagnare le beccacce al ginepro.
