The soul promises are aimed at liberation and spiritual healing. The 12 promises will help you to: release burdens and surrender to God, free yourself from guilt, forgive and let go, discern your personal soul plan, reaffirm your spirituality, overcome fear, and rediscover your authentic self. We make promises for as long as we can remember - to our parents, to our partner, to our friends, to our teachers, to our country - and many of them have their reason for being, but there are many other promises that are not so obvious and not so correct, such as when we inwardly promise to move away from our truth and purpose, in order to gain the approval of others. Many of these "false" promises become our inner drive that unknowingly push us to be the way we are and to seek to fulfill them, often at the cost of losing our inner peace and joy. On the other hand, there are promises that have the quality of leading us to lasting peace and joy; these are the promises of the soul. Far from being an imposition, the 12 promises are an invitation to be considered through reflection and awareness of the Self.
