Delicately shaped by Italian craftsmen, the Finnesburg Series chessmen are a unique artisanal version of the traditional Staunton chess piece design. Crafted in solid brass and nickel-plated, these chessmen are ideal for decorative or practical use.

We feel that the pawns within this set offer the best example of painstaking levels of craftsmanship and exceptional attention to detail. That said, however, it is true to say that every other piece on the board enjoys the same level of attention, although this commitment to an oftentimes overlooked, but undeniably important piece on the field is what illustrates and defines the uncompromising quality of the Finnesburg chessmen.

We have matched these outstanding chessmen with an equally outstanding chess cabinet, and together they make a very striking yet elegant statement.

This substantial and weighty cabinet features a beautifully rich mahogany-coloured frame, with a playing surface crafted from walnut and maple squares, all framed by a sleek black border that brings the entire piece together. The satin finish not only offers protection during play but also creates a striking battlefield for your metal chess pieces.

The cabinet includes two wooden storage drawers, one on each side of the board, with chrome-effect handles for easy access. Each drawer is compartmentalised and lined with fabric, ensuring that your metal chessmen remain well-protected when not in use.

The drawers feature two different compartment sizes, with the larger measuring 10.2 x 4 x 3.8 cm, and the smaller at 8 x 4 x 3.8 cm.
