Formed as a graceful Pear-Shaped Vase, the vessel displays the refined curvature and balanced proportions admired throughout the Qianlong court. Executed in the distinguished Doucai Porcelain technique — where underglaze blue outlines are enhanced with brilliant overglaze enamels — the decoration achieves a radiant harmony of color, depth, and precision.

The design features five red bats (wufu, 五福) soaring among auspicious clouds, symbolizing the revered Five Blessings: longevity, wealth, health, virtue, and peace. This auspicious motif reflects the imperial desire for harmony and prosperity, making the vase both a technical masterpiece and a vessel of profound cultural meaning.

Each Imperial Porcelain Vase is meticulously handcrafted using traditional imperial kiln techniques and natural mineral pigments, then fired up to 1280°C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond. I LOVE DAD WITH THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR is a sweet book of love, written from the perspective of a child to their father. The book uses imagery from other Eric Carle books alongside simple language to describe the connection between father and child, such as "Dad... You are easy to talk to... and you're fun to play with." Ellipses break up sentences across multiple pages, with animals that suit each phrase pictured as parent and child. What I loved: This is a cute and simple read that would be a great gift for a new father or father of a young child, as they can share it together. The short length of the book works well for infants and toddlers, as each page only has a few words. The illustrations are simple, borrowing from past Eric Carle books to maintain his style, and showing the animals most related to the text (for instance, on the page with "but you're still cool" it features polar bears) on a white background. This is a simple style that will work well for little ones. The very hungry caterpillar appears on each page, almost hidden and could make for a fun and easy search for toddlers. Final verdict: Overall, this is a sweet picture book that would make a great gift for new fathers or fathers with young children.
