In Platypus, players work together in a clever word-guessing game where 8 common or proper names—referred to as the Platypus cards—are placed face up in front of everyone. The Guides know which card the Explorers need to find and guess. To help the Explorers, the Guides provide clues using Adjective cards chosen from their 4-card hand, which best describe the target Platypus card.

With each new clue, the Explorers must eliminate 1 or 2 names that don’t fit the given definition, narrowing down the options. The goal is to correctly identify the Platypus card by leaving the matching name visible. The game can end in two ways: either the team wins by successfully finding the Platypus after obtaining their 4th Success, or they lose by accidentally eliminating the Platypus card.

Platypus combines deduction and teamwork in a fun and engaging way, challenging players to think creatively and work together to win!
