Not only will it protect your meat allowing the smoke & heat to travel up through the slots it will also act as a large Heat Sync to help stabalize the pit temperature, increase fuel efficiency and improve lid lift recovery times.
Please note: this product is made from mild steel, and some light surface rust is maybe present. It will need to be seasoned prior to use!
