Without a doubt, ACE Motorcycles were some of the finest American motorcycles ever built. The ACE was the fastest motorcycle in the world back in the 1920's. ACE was the dream of Bill Henderson who was the premiere 4 Cylinder motorcycle designer in the world. Henderson and his brother Tom originally designed and built their famous Henderson 4 CYL motorcycles starting in 1912. They eventually sold their Henderson 4 design to Schwinn were it joined Schwinn's successful Excelsior and Super X line of V-Twin motorcycles to form Excelsior-Henderson. Bill Henderson soon became bored working for Schwinn and struck out on his own again and went on to build the ACE 4. Only the best went into the ACE 4. Henderson not only wanted to build the finest motorcycle, but also the fastest. He poured all his vast knowledge into the ACE, making it an engineering marvel that was light years beyond anything being built at the time. From the start, everyone else was playing catch up. ACE won almost every race it entered. Things were going great, Bill Henderson and the ACE were on the top of the world!

Then in December 1922, Bill Henderson was killed by a drunk driver while he was road testing his latest ACE 4. After Bill Henderson's death, his former protégé at Excelsior-Henderson, Arthur Lemon joined ACE to carry on Bill Henderson's work... Lemon was to take ACE to even further success, establishing numerous records, winning races and hill climbs with ease. Then on November 23, 1923, Charles "Red" Wolverton on an ACE XP-4 set a land speed record tripping the electronic timers at a top speed of 129.61 mph!

A Favorite!
Format: Board book
Having loved Richard Scarry books as a child in the 70's, I was thrilled when he regained popularity in the 90's when we were raising our children. Now I get to share this beloved classic with my granddaughter. She LOVES her Richard Scarry books and this one is wonderful. Every page has so many beautifully illustrated details so there are always new things to look at and discover. She is 18 months old and the Richard Scarry books have been instrumental in helping her vocabulary, now over 200 words. Highly recommend that you add this awesome book to your baby's library and read, read, read to your baby every chance you get!

A great way to start makes adding more a breeze.
Format: Board book
As soon as words you want to teach gain clarity, sentences will follow faster. The little “sponge”takes communication seriously. Add a motion to the word and it will be remembered longer, and used in 3-word sentences, etc. the first 100 words will double then triple surprisingly fast.

Necessary book for little ones!

Great baby gift. My grown children loved Richard Scarry books. My daughter asked for this as a baby shower gift. Her son I'm sure will love it as much as she did.
