In modern data centers, uptime and intelligent power management are as critical as the servers themselves. This 23 kW three-phase switched PDU from Tripp Lite by Eaton delivers enterprise-grade power distribution with advanced network control, empowering IT teams to monitor, manage, and optimize power at the outlet level. The LX Interface, combined with a Gigabit management network, provides secure, scalable administration for racks in data centers, server rooms, and high-density network closets. With a built-in LCD, outlet monitoring, and the ability to turn on, turn off, reboot, or lock out individual outlets, this PDU helps you reduce downtime, improve energy efficiency, and simplify fault isolation across complex IT environments.

Designed for demanding environments, this PDU supports high-density deployments where every watt matters. Its 3-phase input and distributed outlet topology help balance loads across legs, minimize voltage drop, and keep critical devices up and running during peak demand. The unit’s rugged construction and 0U rack-mount form factor ensure it integrates cleanly into standard server racks without consuming valuable cabinet space. Whether you’re refreshing a portion of a data hall, expanding a compute cluster, or implementing a scalable power-management strategy, this PDU brings visibility, control, and reliability to your power distribution strategy.

With remote power management, you gain the ability to respond quickly to issues without sending technicians to the rack. The LX interface provides secure, authenticated access over a Gigabit network, enabling centralized control and monitoring across multiple PDUs. This capability is especially valuable for data centers that require consistent configuration, rapid restarts after firmware updates, and automated alerts for abnormal power usage. The integrated LCD offers on-site insight when a network connection isn’t available, and outlet monitoring delivers real-time status to help operators identify overloaded circuits, balance loads, and enforce efficiency policies across the rack footprint.

  • High-capacity 23 kW three-phase switched PDU built for data centers, server rooms, and high-density network closets. It distributes power with precision, enabling granular control over every outlet so critical workloads receive reliable power while non-critical devices can be cycled during maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize rack availability.
  • LX Interface with Gigabit Ethernet delivers robust, network-based power management and monitoring. You can remotely turn on, turn off, reboot, or lock out individual outlets from anywhere on the management network, reducing mean time to repair (MTTR) and keeping maintenance windows predictable. The interface supports secure login, role-based access, and real-time status updates that help operators stay informed and respond quickly to power events.
  • 24 independently controllable outlets with outlet monitoring and an on-board LCD display. Monitor per-outlet status, voltage, and usage trends to optimize load distribution, detect anomalies early, and enforce disciplined power policies. The LCD provides quick, at-a-glance information during local maintenance and initial commissioning, ensuring visibility even when network connectivity is limited.
  • Rigid power input and space-efficient footprint tailored for data centers. The PDU uses 380-415V three-phase input with IEC 309 32A red connectors and a 1.8-meter supply cord. A 0U rack-mount design keeps footprint minimal while leaving room for cable management and airflow, which is crucial for maintaining thermal performance in dense racks.
  • TAA-compliant construction for federal and government procurement. Built to endure the rigors of data-center operation, the PDU integrates seamlessly with existing Eaton Tripp Lite power-management ecosystems, supporting long-term serviceability, warranty coverage, and compatibility with widely adopted DCIM workflows.

How to install Tripp Lite LX Interface Switched PDU

  • Plan your rack layout and confirm the PDU weight and mounting dimensions align with your rack’s rails. Install the PDU in a front-to-back orientation that aligns with your cooling and cable-management strategy, ensuring that air flow around the back of the rack is not obstructed.
  • Turn off the facility power and verify the circuit protection is in place before making any connections. Connect the IEC 309 32A red input connectors to the appropriate three-phase power source, taking care to match phases and ensure a secure, locked connection.
  • Route the 1.8-meter power cord cleanly within the rack and connect the other end to the distribution path that feeds the PDU’s input. Avoid tight bends and keep the cord away from fans or other moving components to prevent wear or obstruction.
  • Power up the PDU and begin network provisioning. Connect the LX management port to your network switch or management network, assign an IP address (static or via DHCP), and configure administrative credentials, access control, and notification policies. Use the LCD during initial setup if network access is temporarily unavailable or for quick reference checks.
  • Connect IT devices to the 24 outlets and label cables for clear identification. Enable outlet monitoring, configure alert thresholds, and test turn-on, turn-off, reboot, and lockout commands for individual outlets to validate functionality and ensure predictable behavior during routine maintenance or in case of a fault.

Warm Hands for Experienced Snow Machine Riders
Durable, lightweight, comfortable, and warm (my sled has heated handlebars). Gauntlets hold their shape very well. Easy to get hands in and out. Clear screen fogs up on the inside, so you can't see through it. I recommend for experienced riders who know where all of the buttons are. After getting a few good rides with a swithbox gremlin I would be comfortable using them again. Will also need to reposition OFF BUTTON. Gauntlet fabric at handlebars is a little flimsy, so putting hands in and out may accidentally press the button. I might add pieces of foam where gauntlets secure to handlebars to add structure and support. I had no problems on my very first ride, but I didn't test the amount of pressure needed to make it press the button. I've recommended them to others in Facebook Groups. I trust the brand. Had no problem fitting hands and arms in and out with thick coat & gloves in -14°F to +36°F. All-in-all... Worth the money, but would recommend waiting for a sale.

They're okay, but they're quite bulky.
I liked the design and overall application of these, but they don't fit my needs. They definitely work well at protecting my hands from freezing weather, but they are way too bulky for regular motorcycle use. In my opinion, I feel that these would be much more suited for a snowmobile or ATV. If you treat them as what they’re mostly designed for — ATV/snow-related riding or cold-weather utilitarian use — these gloves are a solid buy. They deliver warmth, weather protection, and decent control through the TPU windows. But if you put them on a fast street motorcycle or expect “motorcycle-glove” levels of control and feel — they’ll likely disappoint or even pose safety trade-offs. In that context, lighter and more control-oriented gloves would probably serve you better. The reason I'm docking stars is because they're marketed toward motorcycle users, and they;re very impractical. The durability seems pretty good, as I've taken them out and even had a couple of rocks/road debris hit the TPU windows with no scratches or punctures. They're not super comfortable to use at highway speeds, especially since they fit so loose, and they tend to press my front brake/clutch which is very dangerous. I personally cannot recommend this product for motorcycle use, unless you already have handguards, which will probably negate the need for these at all. Invest in some good heated gloves and/or heated grips, and I think you'll be much safer and better off in the end. For the price, I think this is a good value, but they're just not for me.
