Brilliant Green Agar was developed in the 1920s and has been refined over the years to become a reliable tool in the detection of Salmonella in various industries including food production and public health.. There is a choice of 3 sizes - 500g, 2kg, and 10kg.
PREPARATION: Mix 58 grams of the medium in one litre of purified water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring and boil for one minute to dissolve completely. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
