It's natural to point out that the design of the 40mm rim is the direct descendant of the 55mm profile: all the solutions developed for the higher profile have been included here, in a less specialized version.

So the 40mm features all the technology of the Wind 55, but in a lighter, more climbing friendly package. 40mm is one of the sizes most appreciated for those who want versatility; an excellent wheel for climbing, and just enough depth to be quick on the flats. The straight pull spokes and the CNC designed aluminum hub make the Wind 40's quick and snappy, stiff, yet comfortable.

Fulcrum's AC3 laser treatment on the brake track improves braking in all conditions, and up to a 30% increase in the worst conditions such as rain. Wind 40 is certainly the multi-purpose choice, with a strong focus on aerodynamics. Made to be just as fast on the uphill as it is on the downhill, and even faster on the flats.
