The Shakespeare Firebird Spin Combo range suits anglers of all ages and is a quality spinning rod and reel with a modern, stylish design that offers excellent value for money.
The rods included in these combos are designed with medium actions that will allow both beginners and children to cast easily and are ideal for light to medium spinning applications. These outfits are also great as gifts too!
Included in the combo is the Firebird 2 piece rod, designed with strong, slim blanks and durable guide frames with Titanium Oxide inserts and a cushioned DPS reel seat. The rod also includes a comfortable, abbreviated EVA handle and a matt blank finish, with strong and attractive Firebird artwork.
The reel is a fixed spool, rear drag and is spooled with high quality, dark brown mono. There is 6lb mono on all the models except for the 10ft which has 12lb of mono. The 10ft also uses a 40RD sized reel and the rest in this range use a 30RD. The reel has a gear ratio of 5.2:1 and includes the same attractive red colour to match the rod.
