Art Yard present a reissue of Sun Ra's The Antique Blacks, originally released in 1974. The vitality you hear on The Antique Blacks is a testament to the unique energy of the community around The Foxhole Cafe in Philadelphia, as Ra honed his unique brand of Afro-futurism through the late '60s and '70s. Cosmic theater, spiritual chants, and experimental electronics make this record an essential document that was ahead of it's time. Recorded as a radio broadcast in Philadelphia, according to Dale Williams, The Antique Blacks has a well-defined but oddball structure. Sun Ra was a master architect, very concerned to use the unfolding of an album, a broadcast, or a live performance to create a satisfying structure. "Song No. 1" is a lively, tonal introduction, featuring John Gilmore on tenor saxophone, Sun Ra on roksichord, Dale Williams, then aged 15, on guitar, and Akh Tal Ebah on trumpet. Sun Ra's poetry is featured on "There Is Change In The Air", a track which has on occasion been used for the album title: in it's original incarnation as a Saturn LP, there was no dedicated sleeve artwork, and this record appeared under many names. Ra's poetry is allusive, elusive, and paradoxical, and this was it's first major appearance on a record. During instrumental passages, Williams's guitar is heard, along with the saxophones of Marshall Allen and Danny Davis. The Antique Blacks is a similar setting for a Sun Ra poem, which encompasses "spiritual men", and Lucifer as a dark angel. The Arkestra is heard in conducted improvisational ensembles, in between the sections of the poem. "This Song Is Dedicated To Nature's God" has Arkestral vocals, with John Gilmore's voice in the foreground. Sun Ra's poetic declamations provide the structure for "The Ridiculous I" and "The Cosmos Me", which also has a fine unaccompanied tenor solo by John Gilmore, keyboard improvisations by Sun Ra, and closes with bass clarinet from Eloe Omoe. Sun Ra's keyboards are heard with minimal Arkestra support on "Would I For All That Were" - a fine synthesizer improvisation, with electric piano left hand accompaniment. Tension is resolved by "Space Is The Place", which rounds the album out in an upbeat mood, with Akh Tal Ebah, James Jackson, and Sun Ra prominent among the vocalists. The closing section includes the chant Sun Ra And His Band From Outer Space, often used at the close of live performances.

Miles, Aiden, and Aspen
Format: Kindle
Man this was a great start to a series. The author got you hooked one the book from chapter one. We are still don't have all the answers but they will come in due time. I absolutely enjoyed this story. Miles seriously has my heart. He was just such a lovable guy. He served his country and was injured doing his job. He carries around a lot of trauma and emotional damage from that time. His childhood best friend Aiden feels guilt over what happened to Miles. He blames himself even though it was not his fault. Due to his trauma they form an unlikely pairing. They need each other and to share the person they are with due to Miles's trauma. They met Aspen and form and instant connection. Little does Aspen know that she has helped Miles during some of the worst of his times with her beautiful pictures. She is running away from a relationship and a job that literally used her and tossed her away. She forms an instant connection to both guys and Miles's dog Jubie. She teaches them both to not only forgive their past but also love themselves more. She is everything they need in their life. Mean while there is a killer/stalker running around causing havoc. Will we find out who the bad guy is? I guess we will have to keep reading the series to find out. I really enjoyed this book and I think the author did a great job keeping your interest. I cannot wait to see what else she has instore. She had great world building and character development.

Rediscovering herself and finding the unexpected
Format: Kindle
First we have Aspen a young woman who lost herself to her ex and what he wanted. She ran to Alaska to re-find her love of photography and the outdoors. While she did find this she also found a broody and overprotective former Navy Seal who still had a lot of healing to do, his super sweet over thinking best friend and their lovable doggo.
I absolutely love the different plot lines going on in this story. It leaves mystery and a sense of foreboding around every turn. Of course this doesn't answer all the question we have for Anchor Bay because this is only book one but I absolutely love the community they have.
Aspen has an immediate connection with the two friends. She has an easy and open demeanor that puts even the broody guy at ease enough to engage. Aspen is sweet, open, and genuinely cares about the people and animals she comes in contact with.
I can't wait to see what is next in Anchor Bay.

Perfect Combinarion of Romantic Suspense & Why Choose
4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
I laughed, gasped, smiled, swooned, worried, and cried in this book. I am more emotional than some people but there were just a few scenes that I thought were beautiful, sad or relatable. (Those are all good enough reasons for me to tear up.)
—The friendship/brotherhood between Aiden and Miles is so wholesome and funny. They’ve just been through it all together and you can tell how much they mean to each other.
—The insta-love from Aiden was too much for me at first, but honestly it fit his personality and his perceptiveness. He knew they would all three be good together and mesh well. I think Aspen was able to reason through their fast attraction in a rational manner. Miles was slow to open up, which was expected with his history and trauma. They make an incredibly sexy throuple.
—I don’t always love the FMC, but Aspen is different and her character development felt relatable.
—Miles. M I L E S. Holy hell. 🔥🔥
-Overbearing? Maybe
-Grumpy? Of course
-Will do anything and everything to protect and care for those he loves?! ABSOLUTELY
—That ending was not *too* crazy but it did have me speed reading to make sure **spoiler** was okay. 🥺
—I’m seriously looking forward to book two and can’t wait to see what throuple is featured in the next book!

Love her romantic suspense
Format: Kindle
Kennedy L Mitchell is my go-to for romantic suspense. While this first book in the series is lower angst, it’s set up a great mystery that seems like it’ll cover at least the next book, maybe more. There is a bit of ex related drama on both Aspen’s and Miles & Aiden’s sides. Things definitely move quickly romantically and there was lots of excitement plot wise so you’re bound to find something to love with try this one.

New Romantic Suspense Series in a Poly Community
Format: Kindle
I was very excited to start this series and it exceeded expectations. First, if you haven't read the prequel novella, you should! It sets up the premise of the series and the idea of this poly community in Alaska where they run vacation adventures. This story picks up after the community is established and there is threat. The prologue is chilling. I loved this so much. I really enjoyed the FMC. Her drive and passion for photography and wilderness and how she was overcoming her history. I especially appreciate stories that showcase emotional abuse and manipulation that is more understated and creeps up on you. The MMCs had the best bromance and though they had a shared backstory, they were distinct from each other and had complementary personalities. So much understanding and acceptance in the relationship as a whole. Its sweet and spicy. There are multiple dangerous situations and red herrings - the final sequence of the book I was on the edge of my proverbial seat. Ready for book two!
