Your support for this event will be used to assist the Gamble Rogers State Park Turtle Patrol Team during the upcoming 2026 season. Our parks are designated state-index nesting beaches by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). During this past season, from mid-April to October, our team patrolled the 4 miles of shoreline along Gamble Rogers and North Peninsula State Parks each day at dawn looking for signs of new nesting sites. They protected a total of 242 nests in 2025 by identifying turtle species and marking, monitoring, and inventorying each one. They also helped dozens of stranded hatchlings make it to the ocean. Sea turtle patrol members reduced disturbances to nesting areas and educated the public about the importance of sea turtle conservation. Data collected as part of the program is analyzed by the FWC to evaluate population trends and determine management strategies to help sea turtles now and in the future.

At this hands-on session, you will learn how to craft a stunning 12-inch sea glass sea turtle succulent garden. Sherry will guide you through the process of blending sea glass, nautical rope, triple thick , glitter, and a lovely bubble vase to create a captivating coastal centerpiece. All materials are included, making this a perfect opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of artistic exploration without any hassle.
Not only will you walk away with a beautiful piece of art, but you will also be helping support the preservation efforts of the Gamble Rogers Turtle Patrol.
